Celebrating the Yorkshire Prestige Award for uPVC services

We were delighted to be awarded a Yorkshire Prestige Award 2021 for uPVC services last month.

The Corporate Livewire Yorkshire Prestige Awards 2021/22 recognise small and medium-sized businesses that have proven to be the best in their market over the past 12 months. Directors Lewis and Sarah collected the award at the end of November and then reflected on the last 12 months, the award itself and what the future holds.

What does winning this award mean for your business?

As the award was based on customer satisfaction and reviews, winning the award was special for us as we put so much emphasis on delivering great customer service. This award just reinforces the great service that the team provides. It doesn’t matter if we are helping people with transforming their windows, doors, kitchens, garages or conservatories, helping them to achieve the end goal, at a fraction of the costs of replacing, is hugely rewarding.

How did the business begin?

Our team are all decorating specialists who trained in uPVC spraying when they saw the end results that could be achieved. After a string of successful clients, we recruited other sprayers and a back office team to grow the business further.

What have been your main achievements leading up to this award?

I think the biggest achievement has been our growth during the pandemic. The strategy had to be to just survive, but to grow rapidly, hire and retain talent, and stay on this trajectory during such a challenging time for many, has without a doubt, been our biggest success! Our employees are invaluable, without them the business would not be where it is today. Happy employees equal happy customers, so for us it starts with them and the rest follows!

How many form part of your team? Our core business team is five strong, but we have a much wider team dealing with different elements from finance, operations, legal, marketing, logistics, supplies & materials and admin. Everyone works together to help each other and deliver fantastic customer service.

How can uPVC spraying services help?

Respraying windows or a kitchen can often be around 80% cheaper than replacing them, not to mention the reduction in environmental impact and disruption for the client as well. Kitchens can be resprayed in situ and often completed in less than 2 days which is a lot less disruption and cost than installing new cupboards. The same for windows. Respraying a window frame can achieve a finish that looks like new, transforming your home exterior without the disruption of replacing frames and dislodging surrounding areas. You can also benefit from a wider colour choice then new, even being able to colour match if needed.

What’s the best part of the job?

The answer to this will be different depending on who you ask, as we all have different ideas of success. Personally, we believe the best part is delivering the service we promised and retaining happy clients. We make a conscious effort to always engage with our clients as you will see from our recommendations across our social platforms. We feel customer service and aftercare is of the utmost importance and is the number one priority for us. Customers who feel engaged and looked after, feel more connected to us, are better informed and ultimately happier, knowing we have changed someone's home and saved them money in the process is what brings us job satisfaction.

Where do you see the business going in the next 5 years?

I think in terms of the next 5 years, we will continue to grow organically, maintain market leadership across Yorkshire and surrounding counties, and carefully grow the team to fulfil continuous demand. Franchising will be the main focus alongside building the core business, so we will be looking for ambitious, experienced individuals to become our first franchisees.
